Luxcuper takes over hostel in Kristinehamn - opens Lux Sports Camp

On 4 October, Luxcuper will open the doors to Lux Sports Camp at Kasernvägen 7 in Kristinehamn. The plan is primarily to offer an accommodation option for the football teams participating in Luxcuper in Kristinehamn Arena. But the hostel is also bookable for others, mainly larger groups.

- The address and the hostel are not entirely new to us. When Krongården operated here before, we rented rooms to football teams every cup weekend. When Krongården closed down earlier this year, we saw the opportunity to take over and at the same time put our stamp on it," says Patrick Luxenburg, President of Luxcuper.

The hostel has a total of around 270 beds in 21 rooms. Eleven larger rooms with up to twenty beds, and ten smaller rooms with four to six beds in each. Work on refurbishing and remodelling the barracks is in full swing.

- We are doing a superficial refurbishment rather than a renovation. Among other things, we have refurbished the smaller rooms with new beds, desks and TVs - a bit more hotel-like. The larger dormitories are the same except that we have replaced some beds and mattresses," says Oscar Therén, project manager for Lux Sports Camp.

The common areas are also getting a facelift, with plans for a lounge, a basic gym and a conference room. The lounge will offer table tennis, foosball and video games, and the gym will offer basic exercise equipment.

Lux Sports Camp officially opens in connection with the first Luxcup of the autumn in Kristinehamn Arena, 4-6 October. Read more at Lux Sports Camp website.
